Hello,
maybe you remember… In the last newsletter, I announced that I would be writing about the major cycles of life.
The Human Design system actually has a very exciting theory up its sleeve here.
The planets activate gates, lines, etc. in a Human Design Chart. And just like that, based on these characteristics, we know what is happening in our lives.
Okay, unfortunately, it’s not quite that simple, because there is room for interpretation in the messages of the I Ching. You do need some practice to interpret the messages correctly.
Most phases of life are activated by what is known as a return.
A return occurs when a planet is once again in exactly the same position as it was at the time of your birth.
Alright, now I’m getting to the point.
The following overview shows the major cycles of life.

The Incarnation Cross describes your life purpose and, as indicated in the image above, influences your entire life.
But don’t get the idea that you need to fulfill this purpose as quickly as possible—preferably before you attend your first 50th birthday party.
From around age 50, you can slowly start thinking about actively engaging with your life purpose. Before that, it’s more about understanding where the journey is heading.
From birth until around age 30, the main focus is simply on discovering life.
From the first return—the first Saturn return—it’s about taking responsibility for your own life. Saturn demands discipline.
During the Uranus opposition (in an opposition, the planet reaches the peak of its journey back toward its original position), the midlife crisis comes into play—more intensely for some, less so for others.
At its core, this phase is about major change in the middle of life: saying goodbye to illusions, while unfulfilled wishes and longings rise to the surface. Unconsciously, it’s about approaching the Chiron return in order to attain mastery in life.
Oh come on… not just because you finally get to attend your first 50th birthday party.
Seriously—this is about healing the greatest wound of your life. You can read more about this fascinating topic in my blog post: Chiron, Human Design, and the 12 Life Cycles in Your Career.
From the second Saturn return, around the age of 59, you can finally start to lean back and gradually hand over responsibility. Now relaxation may slowly set in. Phew…
Of course, you can still pursue a profession at this stage. Ideally, one that truly fulfills you.
To find this out—ideally sooner rather than later—you can book a Human Design Reading with me. We can also place a special focus on your current phase of life.
Get in touch—I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
