There is no right decision!

Do you also often find it hard to make decisions?

You are not alone.

Many of my clients come to me for exactly that reason.

Especially when it comes to important career decisions:

– Should I quit my job?

– Should I stay in the secure job?

– Should I take the leap into self-employment?

For Generation Z, the questions are more like:

– Craft or office?

– Apprenticeship or university?

– Master’s degree or direct entry into the job market?

You can learn a lot about yourself and your calling in my Human Design self-coaching course.

But in the end, YOU have to make a decision.

And the worst thing you can do is:

❌ Hand over the responsibility – to parents, friends, or coaches.

❌ Making decisions with the mind.

❌ Believing there is ONE right decision.

Why?

Because the mind cannot make decisions. It can plan, analyze, structure – but that’s it.

According to Human Design, it is the body (inner authority) that makes decisions.

It provides the energy for implementation.

And it does NOT tell you right or wrong, but rather

Fühlt es sich stimmig an – oder nicht?

The outcome of a decision can never be predicted with certainty.
But you can take responsibility:

👉 Trust your inner authority
👉 Grow from experience
👉 Act with self-determination
👉 Inspire others
👉 Motivate yourself

Spontaneously, my own gut feeling says:

The following poem, inspired by Martin Walser, fits perfectly here – slightly adapted.

Let it sink in for a moment.

There is no right decision.
And no wrong one either.
There are only decisions that move us forward:
Either through what we achieve –
Or through what we learn along the way.

Courage is not a prerequisite, but a result.
We often believe we must first be brave.
But courage doesn’t show itself in thinking.
It shows itself in walking.

As soon as you recognize where you are right now,
you are already further than many others.
Then it’s only about the next step.
Not the big leap.
Just the next possible step.

And you know that one – very well.

What comes next, no one knows for sure.
Anyone who claims otherwise is selling certainty where none exists.

Those who know the next step but do not take it
remain stuck out of fear.

Yet this very step is your invitation to grow.
It may feel less certain.
But that is where its strength lies.

Because in the moment you take it,
you realize: you are capable of more than you thought.
You don’t fall.
You grow.

And from this experience – I walked, even though I doubted – courage is born.

There is not only the danger of daring too much.
There is also the danger of daring too little.

For those who walk, the path unfolds beneath their feet. 👣

Thank you for your attention!

Thomas

Questions and answers about this newsletter

How does Human Design help with career decisions?

Human Design shows you your inner authority – in other words, how you make aligned decisions. This way, you can set professional directions in harmony with your own energy, instead of letting your mind or other people influence you.

What is inner authority in Human Design?

Your inner authority is your body’s own decision-making mechanism. It doesn’t give you objectively “right” or “wrong” answers, but it shows you whether something feels aligned and full of energy.

Why is it risky to make decisions only with the mind?

The mind can analyze and plan, but it cannot feel what is truly right for you.
Decisions made only from the head often lead to insecurity, frustration, or the sense of being driven by external influences (from your own social conditioning).

Can Human Design help you become more courageous?

Yes – by learning to trust your inner authority, courage grows naturally out of experience.
You take steps, even when you doubt, and you realize that you are capable of more than you thought.

What does “knowing only the next step” mean in the Human Design context?

Instead of planning the entire path in advance, Human Design helps you focus on the next aligned step. This way, clarity arises step by step – without the pressure of having to know everything right away.
